Dan was born and grew up in Thorshavn, the capital of Faroe Islands, which has a population of only 50,000. He moved to Copenhagen, in 2009 where he studied Business at University.
He later moved back to the Faroe Islands to play professional football before relocating to Queensland, Australia to finish his degree in 2013.
After graduating, he decided to follow his passion for music and moved to Sydney where he played in pubs and bars to make a living.
Dan moved to London in 2014 and, after playing his second open mic gig, signed a management contract. Since then Dan has won an international award-winning songwriting competition for his song “Fires in the Night” and in summer 2015 Dan went on a 20 date, 28,000 seat stadium tour throughout Russia.
In 2015 Dan headlined festivals across the United Kingdom and Europe as well as recording his eagerly awaited debut album in Nashville, writing with award winning writers and producers like Tim Fraser, Martin Sutton, Lost Hollow and John Hogg.
Dan was chosen to be a global ambassador for the charity Mellon Educate and in November 2015 he flew out to perform with the children while volunteering in South Africa, helping build houses and facilities for deprived areas and schools. It was an amazing eye opener for Dan, and he proved a big inspiration.
2016 started with a 10 date Grosvenor Casino/ Champions tour around the UK, performing to sell-out audiences. In January 2016 Dan sang for Global Citizens Charity in London, subsequently becoming an ambassador for the charity alongside celebrities Beyoncé, Hugh Jackman and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Momentum continued to build, with Dan signing one of the largest record contract deals for a western artist in China with Ru Records. The deal included a tour around China in June 2016, as well as his 20ft hologram being installed in supermarkets across the country.
Dan’s album was Caffè Nero International Featured Artist of the Month across 1000 stores in 10 countries for June 2017.
Dan’s song “Heart into Trouble” was chosen as title track for new Pinnacle Film “Carnivore”, starring Ben Lloyd Holmes, which premiered in April 2016, and the video for “Heart in Trouble” video was launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2016 at La Plage Royale.

In June 2016 Dan headlined the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta.
Dan has co-written with such luminaries as Rob Davis (Can’t get you out of my head- Kylie), Martin Sutton (Backstreet Boys, LeAnn Rimes, Celine Dion, Gary Barlow, Pixie Lott), and Tim Fraser (Tina Turner) to name just a few and .
Iin July 2016 Dan signed to Notting Hill publishing.
His first single charted on Spotify at No 6 with names like Steve Aoki and Justin Bieber and it has currently grossed over 500 000 plays.
In November 2016 Dan headlined the Silk Road Ocean Festival to sell-out crowds in China, duetting with Huo Zun (Chinese number one selling artist) in Ningbo. Dan was such a hit the label has asked him to return in April 2017 to tour again to sell-out crowds.
Dan’s charitable work continues in 2017, with a Kenyan tour for the Born Free Foundation http://www.bornfree.org.uk/
Touring in April throughout China was a fantastic success including 2 dates in Hong Kong at the renowned music venue, The Orange Peel.
